The treatment

About lash lifts

A lash lift, also known as a lash perm, gives your natural lashes a soft upward curl from the root, so they look longer and your eyes look more open. We set your lashes over a silicone shield, then apply a lifting solution and a setting solution to hold the shape. You can add a lash tint at the same appointment for extra depth. Unlike extensions, nothing is attached to your lashes.

  • Longer-looking lashes

Lifting from the root shows off the full length of your natural lashes.

  • No daily curler

The curl typically holds for weeks, so you can skip the lash curler each morning.

  • Little upkeep

No infills or touch-ups. The curl softens gradually as your lashes grow and shed.

  • Add a tint

A lash tint darkens lighter lashes so the new curl stands out even more.

Your appointment

What to expect

  1. First, we check your lashes, talk about the curl you’d like and pick a shield size to suit.

  2. Your lashes are cleansed, then gently combed up onto a soft silicone shield on each upper lid.

  3. A lifting solution, then a setting solution, shapes the curl while you rest with your eyes closed.

  4. If you’ve booked a tint, it’s applied next, and we finish with a nourishing lash treatment.

  5. We remove the shields, brush your lashes into place and go through your aftercare.

Before your appointment

  • Come with clean lashes, free of mascara, eyeliner and oily skincare.
  • Contact lenses need to come out, so wear glasses if you can or bring a case.
  • A lift can’t be done over lash extensions, so book a removal first if you’re wearing them.

Aftercare

  • For the first 24 hours, keep your lashes dry and avoid steam, saunas and sweaty workouts.
  • Wait 24–48 hours before wearing mascara, and choose one that isn’t waterproof.
  • Try not to rub your eyes, and avoid sleeping face-down on the first night.
  • Brush your lashes upwards each morning and keep oil-based products away from your eyes.

Good to know

  • A patch test is needed at least 24–48 hours before your first appointment, whether or not you’re adding a tint.
  • Tell us about any past reaction to perm solutions, lash tint or hair dye, or if you have sensitive eyes.
  • Please wait until any eye infection, stye or irritation has cleared, and check with your doctor after eye surgery.
  • Hormonal changes during pregnancy or breastfeeding can affect how well lashes hold a curl, so you may prefer to wait. Check with your GP if you’re unsure.

FAQs

Common questions

How long does a lash lift last?

Typically around 6–8 weeks, as your lashes shed and regrow in their natural cycle, though results vary. We suggest waiting until your lift has grown out before booking the next one.

Should I choose a lash lift or extensions?

A lift makes the most of the lashes you already have, with no infills, so it suits a natural, low-upkeep look. Extensions add length and fullness beyond your own lashes but need regular infills. If you’re torn between the two, we can talk it through with you.

Does a lash lift hurt?

Most people find it comfortable and even relaxing. Your eyes stay closed the whole time, and you might feel a slight tingle. If anything stings or feels uncomfortable, tell us straight away so we can check.

Will a lash lift work on my lashes?

Most natural lashes can be lifted, including straight lashes or lashes that point downwards. Very short or fragile lashes may not hold a curl as well, so we’ll check yours first and let you know what to expect.
