The treatment
About brow lamination
Brow lamination, sometimes called a brow perm, resets the direction of your brow hairs. A lifting cream softens the hairs so we can brush them up and into shape, then a setting lotion holds them there. The result is a defined, brushed-up brow that stays in place with very little styling. It suits hairs that curl, twist or grow downwards, as well as brows with small gaps. It doesn’t add new hair, so for extra depth it pairs well with a brow shape and tint.

Hairs are brushed up and out to cover small gaps, so brows look thicker and more even.

Stray hairs stay where they’re brushed, with little or no brow gel needed.

Your appointment
What to expect
We look at your brows together and talk about how full and lifted you’d like them.
After cleansing your brows, we apply a lifting cream and brush the hairs up into their new shape.
A setting lotion then holds the hairs in place, followed by a nourishing treatment.
If you’ve added a brow shape, tint or henna, we do that next.
Finally, we brush everything into place and talk you through your aftercare.
Before your appointment
- If you can, avoid tweezing for 2–3 weeks beforehand, so there’s more hair to set and shape.
- Arrive with clean brows, free of makeup, oils and brow gel.
Aftercare
- Keep your brows dry for 24 hours, and stay away from steam, saunas and the gym until then.
- No brow makeup for 24 hours, and keep your hands away from your brows.
- Each morning, use a spoolie to brush your brows into place.
- After 24–48 hours, a nourishing brow oil or serum can help keep hairs conditioned. Keep retinol and acid exfoliants away from your brows.
Good to know
- A patch test is needed at least 24–48 hours before your first appointment, to check how your skin reacts to the lamination products.
- Let us know if you have eczema, psoriasis, sunburn or broken skin around your brows, as we may need to wait until it settles.
- Retinoids (such as Roaccutane or retinol creams) and recent chemical peels can make skin more sensitive, so let us know before you book.
- Please talk to us first if you’ve reacted to perming, lifting or tint products, or have brow tattooing or microblading that hasn’t fully healed.
FAQs
Common questions
How long does brow lamination last?
Typically around 4–6 weeks, though it varies with your hair growth and aftercare. As new hairs come through, your brows slowly relax back to their usual direction.
Will it work on thin or sparse brows?
It can make thin brows look fuller by spreading the hairs you have over small gaps. It can’t add new hair, though. Where hairs are very sparse, a brow tint or henna brows can help add definition.
How long does the appointment take?
About 45 minutes for lamination on its own. Adding a brow shape and tint takes a little longer, and you’ll find the time for each option on our price list.
How often can I have it done?
We usually suggest leaving at least 6 weeks between treatments, so your brow hairs have time to grow and recover. In between, daily brushing and a little brow oil help keep them neat.
