The treatment
About lash extensions
Eyelash extensions are fine, lightweight lashes bonded one at a time to your natural lashes with a specialist lash adhesive. A classic set places one extension on each natural lash for a soft, defined finish. Volume uses small fans of ultra-fine lashes for extra fullness, and hybrid blends the two. Each extension falls out with the natural lash it’s attached to, which is why sets are topped up with regular infills.

Your appointment
What to expect
We start by looking at your natural lashes and eye shape, then agree on a style, length and curl.
After a gentle cleanse, a soft pad covers your lower lashes to keep them out of the way.
You relax with your eyes closed while we attach extensions to your natural lashes, one lash at a time.
We brush through your new lashes and check both eyes look even.
Before you go, we explain aftercare and suggest when to book your first infill.
Before your appointment
- Arrive with clean lashes and no eye makeup, including mascara and eyeliner.
- Skip oily cleansers, eye creams and makeup removers on the day, as oil can weaken the bond.
- Wear glasses instead of contact lenses, or bring a case so you can take them out.
- Use the bathroom before we start, as you’ll be lying still with your eyes closed for a while.
Aftercare
- Keep your lashes dry for the first 24–48 hours, and skip saunas and steam while the adhesive sets.
- Use oil-free cleansers and makeup removers around your eyes, and give mascara a miss.
- Wash your lashes regularly and comb them through daily with a lash brush.
- Don’t rub, pick or pull at your extensions, as this can take natural lashes with them.
Good to know
- A patch test is needed at least 24–48 hours before your first appointment, so we can check the lash adhesive agrees with you.
- Let us know if you’ve reacted to lash adhesive, latex or medical tape before, or if your eyes are very sensitive or watery.
- If you have an eye infection, stye or irritated eyelids, please wait until it clears. After eye surgery, follow your doctor’s advice.
- If your lashes are very fine or fragile, or you’re having chemotherapy, talk to us first. We may suggest a lighter set, or waiting until your lashes are stronger.

Common questions
How long do lash extensions last?
Your set thins out gradually as your natural lashes shed, so most people book an infill every 2–3 weeks to keep it full. Without infills, extensions usually grow out completely within about 4–6 weeks.
Which lash style is right for me?
Classic is a lovely place to start if you want a soft, everyday look. Volume suits you if you love a full, fluffy finish, and hybrid gives you a bit of both. We’ll also make sure the style suits the strength of your natural lashes.
Will extensions damage my natural lashes?
Extensions of a suitable length and weight, applied and cared for properly, shouldn’t harm healthy lashes. Damage tends to come from rubbing, picking or pulling them off, so when you want them gone, book a professional removal.
How long will my appointment take?
Allow about 2 hours for a classic or hybrid full set, and about 2 hours 15 minutes for volume. An infill takes about an hour, and a removal about 20 minutes.
